Welcome to episode 3 of Beauty Marks! As a holistic skincare practitioner I consider ingesting healthy, pure nutrients just as important as applying them topically. We now have ingestible beauty supplements popping up in the very same places where we purchase skincare and I could not be happier more of us are now approaching skincare in the holistic sense. I’m not one to jump on trends, but at at the moment CBD ( CBD- cannabidiol is the non-psychoaactive compound found in the cannabis plant) is the talk of the town in the wellness community so as a skincare authority it’s my responsibility to stay well informed on all things wellness and beauty so I can share that information with you.
I had the fortunate opportunity to meet and interview an expert on CBD, Jewel Zimmer, founder of Juna Hemp CBD drops. Jewel is a former fine-dining pastry chef and certified sommelier, so naturally she created what she calls “cannabis with taste”. Juna Nude Hemp CBD drops stand apart from other products in that they are crafted with sound research, quality and sustainability and pretty packaging giving the product a chic feel. The drops are in a base of one of my favorite skin beautifying oils, MCT which helps keep the skin hydrated from the inside out. What interested me about Juna specifically is how, according to Jewel, you can ingest the Nude Hemp drops and go about your day (or evening) with non-pschoactive effects and remain “clear, connected and balanced”.
